YSL Faux Cils Wow!!!

I'm a complete mascara junkie...I'm not ashamed to admit! It's an addiction and quite frankly I don't want to cure it. Now before I completely go off on one about how absolutely amazing this mascara is...I'll let the pictures do the talking!

Before - eye make up applied (no mascara)

After using 3 coats of YSL faux Cils.

Wow wow wow! Just incase your wondering about the lighting being different in the first picture...that's a standard picture I use of my eye with no mascara as I do a few of these reviews.
Seriously this mascara is amazing!!!! 2-3 coats and I have long gorgeous black false looking lashes. There's no clumping it's perfect. This beauty was £24.50 and worth every penny. I'm usually a complete lancome girl and have been for years but no way I'm sticking with YSL now! The colour I bought this in is called 'Noir Radical'. This shade is blacker than black and it really is. A few people have said this dries up fairly quickly but I've only had it 4 days so can't comment on that I'm afraid. If it does however I will let you know. So so happy I have found this mascara I am even prepared to throw all my others away...Erm ok maybe not Lancôme doll eyes but all the others:) If you need a new mascara then I highly recommend giving this a go.

Grey/black smokey eye

I wanted to try a true smokey eye with grey and black. This is something I struggle with, I am never sure if it's because I struggle to blend it well enough at the top or because my natural skin colour slowly peeps through! It's basically a boring evening and I thought I might as well experiment.

So I have used the colours creep and gunmetal to achieve the following look. These colours are in the Urban Decay Naked Palette.

Super sparkly which I love.

I never usually do full face shots on here (I'm in leggings and a tee) I'm afraid i don't get dressed up for blog photos sorry!

I'm on the fence. I like this look but I'm not sure I'm brave enough to try it on a night out. I hate the thought of getting it wrong and only discovering it in photos afterwards! I'll keep practising and maybe one day. I did do this for my Halloween look pic below...hair is Halloween hair just so people don't actually think I walk around with this birds nest esque look:)

Let me know your thoughts on grey/black smoky eyes!x

Mac Lipsticks!

Ok so it's pretty apparent that I like pink lipsticks. I don't own much from Mac so I thought I'd try a few lippies, one was an impulse purchase and the other a duty free temptation.

It was after I saw countless pictures of the stunning Cheryl Cole with a bright pink lip I knew I had to give it a go! That girl has a lot to answer for I'm sure in beauty industries sales:)

This one is called Chatter box (very appropriate). A bright solid pink which is lovely for nights out when a bright lip is the main focus. I did wear this every day however on holiday in Italy so reminds me of that:)

Creme sheen in Speed dial. Very smooth soft formulation with a slightly glossy finish. Both colours are pretty similar.

I do love Mac lipsticks I just haven't got much wear out of them as they are so very bright and I usually go for a strong smoky eye so it's one or the other. However if applied lightly with a gloss over they can be toned down. They are only about £13 I think so worth buying if you see a colour you like. Very easy to apply, last a fair amount of time and have a lovely soft smell. With both of these though the lips must be very very smooth as any dryness will show immediately....gross! I'll certainly be looking out for any other colours I love from Mac in the future.

Weekend beauty haul!

This weekend was my best friends 30th birthday party, and for me parties always somehow mean "find new make up"! Quite possibly as it gives me an oppurtunity to try out a new look! And getting ready always feels a little more special if you hfae something new.
Ok in the above haul we have:
*YSL mascara Faux Cils in 'Noir Radial. £24.50
*YSL Touché Éclat in 'Light Peach'. £22.
*MAC Fix+ Spray. £12.50.
*Nars Blush in 'Orgasm'. £20.50.
*Soap & Glory Supercat eyeliner pen in 'Carbon Black'. £6.

I am constantly on the hunt for a new mascara as eyes are the main thing I focus on and i love long gorgeous black black black lashes. They must be sexy though not messy and clumpy...yuk!! I've been recommended this mascara many times and this is my first YSL purchase so fingers crossed! I'm usually a lancome girl so let's see how this compares.

YSL have very recently brought out 7 shades of touché éclat, the old ones certainly didn't suit my Asian skin tone so something i never bought. I've got number 3 which is for olive tones. Something to point out is that number 4 was very quickly pulled from the market as apparently it didn't suit any skin tone. I'll be giving this a go under my eyes and see if this product really does live up to the hype.

A recent post I did was on Urban Decays All Nighter setting spray that I received as a free gift. That's pretty much finished and I thought it was time to replace as I'm now loving the idea of setting sprays. I scoured many beauty blogs and it seems that this Mac Fix + spray has received so many positive comments I knew I had to buy it.

I recently did a review on my usual collection 2000 eyeliner which I have been using for years...nothing has ever deterred me but Soap & Glory have just launched their cosmetic brand so I swatched this and truly loved. £6 is a great bargain too.

The Nars blusher is just a back up.

Right well that's me set for a little while. I will be keeping you all posted with reviews on all products!
Oh I also had a look at the new Mac collection with fab white packaging, I liked it but not enough to buy any. There was a cute snow globe eye pallette in browns but it was nothing all that different from anything else I own.x

Secret Santa special part 1!

Right so firstly some of you reading this are thinking...huh? And others...too early? Let me explain...Christmas is coming up and not too far away (as much as we all pretend it is). Lots of work places do 'secret santa' and its always the same old "omg what shall I get for her...I've no idea what she likes"! So here im going to have a look at a few stores gift choices and pick my favourite reasonably priced goodies and surely...I mean surely Sue, Joan or any other girly will love something from here. I think the key thing with secret Santa is it doesn't always need to be practical that somebody will "use" it can be something gorgeous that they might not have on the top of their need list but want and love all the same. Please......enough with the dove bath sets and body shop! I know i would want something cute, fun and a little out of the ordinary. The following products are a range of prices and perfect to buy alone or group a few little things together.

Cute love heart hot water bottle cover £8.

Models own nail collection £10

Stamp set (for those Facebook fiends) £9.99

Juice Lucy friendship messages £3

Rose lip balm £4

Fashion book £12.95

Love heart and egg cup cosies £8

This above selection is all from River Island, I love them all and i think these items make great gifts. Happy Christmas shopping all!

The verdict is out!

I love the smell of this beautiful lip scrub and it most definitely works. I know it only takes a minute to do but i kept forgetting!! I love how soft my lips feel afterwards especially as the weather is getting harsher on our skin, i just need to work this in to my beauty routine somehow. As for the product...big thumbs up, does what it says, less than £5 and will last forever x

Pucker up!

Nearly mistletoe season...2 of my favourite Lipglosses. These beautiful colours by Nars are pretty much all the gloss I need in my life. Here we have one on the left called 'sweet revenge' and right 'super orgasm'.

Sweet revenge

A peachy colour I use with smokey grey eyes or when using my Chanel d'ombres shadow. This soft gloss is peach with teeny tiny multicoloured glitter...but not actual glitter...ie you can't feel it. Very strange to describe...but hopefully you can see it in the picture above.

Super Orgasm.

A winning babydoll pink with flecks of gold in. This goes with pretty much every look, I must say I wear this most days and carry it around with me. It's super pretty and will suit all skin tones.

The price tag...hefty £17.50 each....however I've had mine a few months and they aren't finished yet. So i say it's ok to spend a little more...as long as you spend it wisely:) x
