Weekend Beauty Haul

No weekend would be complete without some make up shopping right! Well actually i was attempting a spending ban...i didn't even last one day...i guess those things just aren't for me.
Anyway i got a call from House of Fraser inviting me and a friend to go and take a look at their latest collection...(however the urban decay palette didn't feel too new as I've been reading about it in what feels like forever).
Ok the make up artist did my eyes using 'Verve' and 'Busted' and did a good job. Now came the decision....do i truly need this in my life? Not really no...did i buy it....yes. Im not sure how i feel about that decision either...it was kind of like completing a dvd series of a programme you have already watched.
Either way i used it this morning and will continue to do so just to prove to myself it wasn't a waste of money. I may just keep these 2 naked palettes out and try different colours daily.

A closer look at the colours, i wont swatch or anything until i do a more in depth review and some photos.

The other two products shown the picture are a 24/7 glide on liner. This i was hugely impressed with, its the blackest liner I've ever used and its staying power is phenomenal. I can never get anything to stay on my water line but i have to say i applied this at 8am and at 3pm it was still there...worn slightly but there.
The other product is a lip crayon in the colour 'Lovechild', a gorgeous baby pink that looks super fresh taking me into spring. It applies beautifully and gives a surprisingly rich colour payoff and shine.
Ok ladies enough rambling for now ill let you know how i get on with my purchases...and my opinion on the pallette.x

Opi Nicole and Brights

Whilst browsing online last weekend picking up my bare minerals collection I also stumbled upon OPI colours on Chemist Direct and they are only £7-8 I must have a bazillion nail varnishes but that never really stops me buying more. Anyway I've seen these colours online at some horrendous prices which always stops me buying them but £7 is more than reasonable.
So the colours I've picked to take me into summer are: L-R
You're a Pisa Work
Nicole collection (Kardashians) Sensational Scarlet
Cha-Ching Cherry.
O.P.I are amazing quality and i cant wait to get using these!
Get your hands on these beauties before they sell out x

Must try Monday!

It's nearly beauty box time again (glossybox the harrods edition) and I've still got a box full of things to try!! I was in love with the gorgeous steam cream as soon as I laid my eyes on the pretty little pot so this week I'm going to use it and see how good the contents are!

Bare Minerals Haul

Okay I might be a little late jumping on the bare minerals bandwagon but boyyyyyy have I been missing out. After reading countless reviews and umming and aahing over the beauty counters I knew I finally needed these in my life! So it's 5pm...Sunday afternoon....what's a girl to do??...Internet shopping of course!
One thing I love about Internet shopping is it gives me the chance to think purchases through before I pay, also no feeling obliged by the counter assistants but most importantly...easy to shop around to get the best prices! Money saved = more money for more make up :)
The site I found Bare Minerals crazy discounted and plenty of other brands (I had to be restrained) was Chemist Direct.
www.chemistdirect.co.uk
So not just an online pharmacy...more like a treasure trove for us beauty bargain hunters...we are talking OPI, Le Roche Posay, Burts Bees and so much more!
So click click click and I bought Illuminating mineral veil and these gorgeous 2 eyeshadows below.

Swatches.
Queen Phyllis

True Gold

These beautiful shades will no doubt be my summer "go to" colours.
Best of all my delivery was with me on Tuesday!!!! I'm an impatient girl when it comes to make up so this fared well with me:) Reviews to follow and photos!
I also picked up a few OPI colours...I'll be sharing those with you in another post x

Badger Balm - This girl needs sleep

Okay....slightly different post today. Technically not beauty related but all still very close to my heart...sleep!
Now remember this picture I shared with you all before of my ideal bedroom.

I've recently redecorated and my room most certainly is following a fresh white clean romantic theme.
I have this whole theory....clean fresh room = good sleep = calm
fresh clear mind. I'm always on the quest for anything good for the soul and sleep is one of them. I discovered badgers balm on twitter when I heard people raving about it and thought "I need this"!!!

So of course I ordered this within all of 5 seconds and have used it everyday for the past week. I was definitely excited but slightly wary as The Body Shop sleep products didn't suit me (scary dreams).
Anyway badgers balm is fantastic! It has gorgeous lavender and bergamot tones and in my eyes an absolute winner! It was £3.99 and it's generously sized. Huge thumbs up, I'll be ordering more from this range for sure. All available from Bath & Unwind online.
