Urban Decay Naked Basics

Ok I get that im late to the party with my review of this palette but let's be honest it looks boring! I'm a shimmer shadow girl through and through. However just recently ive enjoyed playing around with mattes a little more and needed some...basic shades. So here we have it.

The left 3 I use as lid or brow bone colours. Especially the far left, that's great for highlighting the brow bone and inner eye. Naked 2 is a fab transition shade and Faint is a lovely crease colour. If im honest I don't use Crave.

They all blend beautifully, are soft and easy to work with with no signs of chalkiness. So if your looking for a useful matte palette then look no further. This is the first one as the second i believe is cooler in tone and I don't do cool toned shadow...just to be clear :)

Sephora Haul

It's been a while since I placed a Sephora order so I thought it was about time. I picked up a few bits....safe bets really.
I finally caved and bought the Too Faced Semi Sweet Palette that ive been lusting after forever!
A repurchase of my Tarte Lights Camera Flashes mascara. I picked up the mini gifted as ive heard lots about it.
And I got 2 more of the Too Faced melted liquid lipsticks. I absolutely love these, so beautiful and highly pigmented.
Reviews to follow.

February's Top 5

I'm not going to do a huge February Favourites as sometimes I feel when I include too many products it's a bit long, boring and you don't know where to stop as basically I love ALOT of things. So I bring you my top 5.

Philip B Heat Protector.

I ran out of my usual Tresemme one which was great don't get me wrong, I just felt I wanted to try something a little more fancy pants! So far so good, it's lightweight, helps me get my hair brush through my wet hair and leaves it super soft and bouncy.

Laura Mercier Creme Brûlée Bath.

I am loving my long lazy baths this month and can't get enough of this bath creme. It smells sooooo amazing, feels luxurious and perfect before bedtime.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette.

I've used this palette pretty much any day ive used eyeshadow. It's just so warm, buttery, blendable and you know all those other "cool" words people keep using to describe eyeshadows. I'm super tempted to get hold of the Semi Sweet version.

This months perfume favourite was a christmas present. It's the Caudalies The Des Vignes. There's something so soft and warm about this fragrance that it just leaves you wanting to smell it more. Also its most definitely a compliment grabber....so for that reason alone it's worth it ;)

Estée Lauder Little Black Primer.

This I thought would have been an absolute gimmick but I gave into the pretty display and the fact kendell Jenner was promoting it and bought it. This applies like a very thin glossy layer to the lashes, you think it's done nothing until you put your usual mascara on and BAM! It performs so much better, longer, blacker more beautiful lashes. Whack a layer on before and after....just trust me on this one!

Have a great week.

Drugstore pick

Today's pick might seem a little boring...it's not make up or skin care or anything that pretty. However it's something super useful ladies that we all use from time to time on our lazy days. Dry shampoo. I've not found my favourite one and its this one by Colab sold in Superdrug. Its a huge can, costs a few pounds and was developed by a blogger called Ruth from A model recommends. This badboy beats the other dry shampoos as firstly it doesn't have a weird dry shampoo smell (im talking to you batiste with your distinct smell so everyone knows I haven't washed my hair), it actually comes in different scents so there's something for everyone, it's fine in texture so no build up or itchy scalp and lastly while it's not coloured like some batiste it's not white either. It just blends in.
All in all....pick this up!

Extra tip - dry shampoo your hair before bed and it will soak up the excess oil over night, it looks much better than freshly sprayed dry shampoo.
